What services does the System Design Group offer?

The System Design Group offers all services needed make the customer’s concept a reality. Examples of these services include but are not limited to:

System Consulting
We can provide a comprehensive study to analyze the options for system design, compare equipment manufacturers, and implementation strategies, and provide a recommendation for your wireless system.

Site and System Audits
At times it is a requirement to keep or update records of system components, maintenance, and user training. We can generate detailed audits of your tower, shelter, system components, and user knowledge levels.

Coverage Mapping
The Day Wireless System Design Group has the tools and experience needed to perform a wide variety of coverage predictions throughout the United States and Mexico.

Once created, the coverage maps can be displayed in Google Earth or printed as a hard copy(coverage printout) on paper sizes up to 36” x 48”.

Propagation Studies/System Coverage Testing
At Day Wireless we have a priority on safety. That means in addition to verifying the systems we install are working correctly, we can also serve as an independent acceptance tester.

Our team has the necessary equipment to perform both in building and large scale outdoor coverage tests. The results from these tests can used for pre-design (where do we really need to be enhanced?), system diagnostics (where is our equipment not working correctly?), and system acceptance (does this meet our requirements?).

Point-to-Point Path Studies
When designing a microwave, one has to be able to quickly identify potential sites. Our software allows us to quickly check if a path is viable saving the expense of sending crews to the field to check for line of site.

Link Budgets
We can calculate all gains and losses from a transmitter to the receiver. Through these calculations we can determine availability e.g. 99.999%, and outage time estimated per year and optimum specifications.

Intermodulation Studies
Committed to superior quality, the System Design Team has created its own in house intermod program and is ready and able to check if that new radio will cause problems for your existing equipment.

RF Emission Safety Studies
Day Wireless Systems can provide RF electromagnetic emission surveys in order to meet compliance with FCC and OSHA regulations.

Equipment Analysis and Recommendation
Taking in to account your needs, budget, and expectations, we are able to provide equipment recommendations. We thoroughly review specifications and often field test equipment.

As-Built Documentation
We can provide as-built documentation to be used for code compliance, insurance needs, and system maintenance which details the entire system.

System Optimization
Given the complexity of modern RF systems, often an expert is needed to provide the finishing touches to bring your system to peak performance.
