Day Wireless Systems Welcomes Mackenzie Day as New CEO
Milwaukie, OR - Day Wireless Systems, a leading provider of wireless systems and public safety solutions, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mackenzie Day as the company's new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective August 1st, 2023. In this role, Mackenzie will take charge of guiding the company into a new era of growth and innovation. Gordon Day, the current President and CEO, will continue his association with the company as President.
Gordon Day expressed his confidence in Mackenzie stating, "I take great pride in the team we have built, and I am confident that Mackenzie will experience the same level of support as she transitions into her new role. With over 15 years of tenure at Day Wireless Systems, Mackenzie has demonstrated exceptional leadership and communication skills with a deep understanding of the organization's operations. She has held several key positions, including Chief Operating Officer (COO), where she displayed her business acumen and dedication to the company's growth and success. Throughout her career, Mackenzie has excelled in areas such as Service Operations, Sales, and Business Development, making her an invaluable asset to the company's progress.
Mackenzie earned her bachelor's degree in business administration and management from Oregon State University. Her drive for progress and innovation, combined with her commitment to operational excellence and a culture of employee empowerment, positions her as the ideal leader to steer Day Wireless Systems towards a promising future.

Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI) today announced the new Avigilon physical security suite that provides secure, scalable, and flexible video security and access control to organizations of all sizes around the world. The Avigilon security suite includes the cloud-native Avigilon Alta and on-premise Avigilon Unity solutions, each powered by advanced analytics and designed to provide an effortless user experience.
Avigilon has been the capstone of Motorola Solutions’ Video Security & Access Control business, which has grown through strategic acquisitions over the past five years to achieve over $1.5 billion in annual sales (2022). The launch of the new Avigilon security suite marks the combination of technologies from three acquisitions – Avigilon (2018), Openpath (2021) and Ava Security (2022) – to create one of the most extensive physical security platforms on the market today, all under a modernized Avigilon brand.

Avigilon Alta
Avigilon Alta is an entirely cloud-native security suite that brings together Ava Security’s video portfolio and Openpath’s access control solutions. It requires no infrastructure beyond cameras, controllers and access control readers utilizing cloud infrastructure managed by Motorola Solutions.
Avigilon Unity
Avigilon Unity is an on-premise security suite that has all the hallmarks of the original Avigilon portfolio, including Avigilon Control Center, Avigilon Cloud Services and Access Control Manager. It is designed for enterprises that want to manage their own systems.

MOTOTRBO™ R7 offers enhanced audio and rugged design for optimal performance in noisy, harsh environments
Motorola Solutions announced the launch of the MOTOTRBO R7, a digital two-way radio with advanced audio features and a slim, rugged design to connect teams in loud, rough, and dynamic environments.
The MOTOTRBO R7 voice communications work on the digital mobile radio (DMR) standard and deliver sharp, clear speech for better intelligibility, with industrial-level noise cancellation, automatic feedback suppression and automatic volume adjustment based on background noise. Critical and detailed information is displayed on the home screen, alleviating the need for workers to scroll through multiple screens to access alerts or text messages. The device can be programmed and updated over the air via WiFi to reduce downtime and is powered by a battery that lasts up to 28 hours.
The MOTOTRBO R7 is easily connected to a variety of sensors over DMR and Bluetooth and can be integrated with video security and access control systems. This allows security personnel to receive notifications on the device when there are unauthorized attempts to access secure areas or doors are propped open. Plant operators and field workers can receive critical alerts when high levels of hazardous gas are detected and rapidly react to help keep everyone safe.
